VenueKart is a Pune-based startup building India’s first organized tech-enabled platform to discover and book event venues across residential societies (RWAs), malls, banquet halls, and other local spaces — all in just a few taps. In India, venue booking is still highly unorganized — done mostly via phone calls, WhatsApp messages, or middlemen. There is no central platform that provides verified inventory, real-time availability, or digital booking for brands seeking venues to run marketing campaigns, exhibitions, activations, or community events. At VenueKart, we are changing this by building a structured digital ecosystem that brings technology, transparency, and trust to a ₹1.5 Lakh Crore+ offline activation market. We’re digitizing both discovery and transactions — making it easier for both brands and venue owners to connect, collaborate, and grow. We started with an offline-first model and have already onboarded 100+ RWAs and 10+ malls across Pune. This early traction validated the need, unit economics, and demand from both ends of the market. Brands struggle to find localized, verified spaces at scale — and venue owners (like societies and malls) lack a channel to monetize unused event zones. VenueKart solves this by offering: Verified venue listings with photos, rules, and pricing Real-time availability and slot booking Brand-space matchmaking based on campaign goals Simplified contracts and payments Dashboard for both brands and venue owners Whether a brand
VenueKart is a Pune-based startup building India’s first organized platform to discover and book event venues across residential societies (RWAs), malls, banquet halls, and local commercial spaces — all in a few taps. India’s ₹1.5 Lakh Crore+ on-ground activation market remains largely unorganized, where venue bookings are still done via calls, WhatsApp chats, brokers, and middlemen, leading to inefficiency, lack of trust, and no data trail. We aim to bring technology, transparency, and structure to this untapped market. With over 100 RWAs and 10+ malls already onboarded offline, VenueKart is now digitizing the ecosystem, helping brands easily find, compare, and book verified venues based on location, audience profile, pricing, and availability. At the same time, venue partners get a dashboard to manage leads, bookings, payments, and visibility. Think of us as the “Swiggy for Venue Bookings” — fast, hyperlocal, and seamless. Whether it's a brand activation, flea market, fitness session, or society engagement, VenueKart enables it all through a trusted digital layer. Our goal is to become the go-to platform for B2B event spaces, unlocking new monetization opportunities for venues and scale for brands across India.
VenueKart operates on a commission-based B2B marketplace model that connects brands with physical venues for offline activations, promotions, and events. We aggregate and onboard residential societies (RWAs), malls, banquet halls, and other local spaces onto our platform. Brands and agencies can browse these verified venues based on location, audience profile, amenities, pricing, and real-time availability — and book them seamlessly through our platform. Our core revenue model is a commission on every successful booking. We charge a 10–20% platform fee from the venue or brand (or both, depending on the deal structure). In select cases, we also charge a listing or visibility fee to premium venues for featured placement. As we scale, additional revenue streams will include: Subscription plans for venue owners (analytics, leads, dashboard tools) SaaS tools for brands (campaign tracking, engagement reports, etc.) Brand integrations and sponsored venue categories We started with an offline-first model to validate demand and unit economics. Now, we are going digital to build a scalable, tech-enabled solution across cities. Our long-term model blends transactional revenue with recurring SaaS income, creating a high-margin, scalable platform in a ₹1.5 Lakh Cr+ offline activation market.

B2B2C
VenueKart operates in a space where existing players focus either on banquet and wedding venues or generic event discovery, leaving a major gap in the activation and micro-event segment. Direct competitors like VenueLook, BookEventz, and Weddingz.in (by OYO) primarily cater to weddings, banquets, and large-scale functions. Their platforms are built for individual customers planning personal events, not for brands looking to activate products or run campaigns in localized communities. While they offer venue listings and lead generation, their systems lack real-time availability, RWA-level access, or tools designed for B2B activations. On the other side, indirect players like Peerspace (US-based), Magicpin, and MyGate operate either in global space-rental, hyperlocal advertising, or gated community engagement. MyGate and NoBrokerHood have experimented with society-level brand campaigns, but they are not venue-first platforms — activations are a side feature, not the core product. Magicpin focuses on user-generated promotions and influencer marketing, not structured venue booking. This is where VenueKart is uniquely positioned. We are India’s first organized, digital-first platform for booking activation-friendly venues across residential societies, malls, IT parks, and local commercial spaces. We don’t just generate leads — we enable discovery, standardize pricing, provide real-time slot availability, and power the entire campaign flow. Our focus is B2B: connecting brands, marketing agencies, and promoters to local, verified spaces in a ₹1.5 lakh crore offline activation market. Just as Swiggy organized food delivery and UrbanClap standardized home services, VenueKart aims to structure and scale India’s venue booking ecosystem — starting from the ground up.
Tell us a bit about how founding team knows each other.
VenueKart is currently led by solo founder Dilip Thakur, who built the business from ground-up after years of direct experience in event activations and venue management. While there’s no co-founder yet, Dilip is supported by interns and external collaborators, and is actively building a strong core team. The vision, product, and traction so far have all been founder-driven.
Why did you decide to start this company?
I started VenueKart after facing daily struggles booking venues through calls, chats, and middlemen. I saw a huge gap in the ₹1.5L Cr market and wanted to build a tech-driven solution.
Are all the founders full-time on this project?
