Thristo is a two-sided fashion marketplace with two core apps: Thristo Consumer App – A curated shopping platform where users discover trendy fashion from emerging D2C and homegrown brands. Key feature: Virtual Try Ons and Try & Buy, where users can try products at home before purchasing, reducing friction and building trust. Thristo Partner Retail App – A plug-and-play tool for offline fashion stores and D2C brands to create digital storefronts, upload inventory and tap into online demand without needing to build their own tech or logistics setup. Our Offering: Thristo empowers offline and digital-first brands to scale through a unified platform that handles cataloguing, last-mile delivery, warehousing, customer support and returns while giving consumers a seamless, low-risk shopping experience.
Thristo is a fashion commerce marketplace bridging the gap between discovery and conversion for India’s new-age consumers. We curate high-potential, homegrown and D2C fashion brands and offer seamless virtual try-ons, 60 minute delivery, Try & Buy experience, allowing users to try products at home before purchasing, just like offline retail. By blending the convenience of online with the trust of offline, we solve two key friction points in fashion e-commerce: lack of trust in quality and high return rates. We’re essentially are a channel partner helping emerging brands scale with logistics, warehousing and storefront visibility handled end-to-end.
We operate a dual-sided marketplace with the following revenue streams: 25% commission from D2C brands stocked in our warehouses (dark store model) 12.5% commission from retail stores fulfilling from their own location Seller subscriptions for advanced tools & visibility (₹1,999–₹4,999/month) Delivery fees paid by buyers (₹49–₹89/order) In-app promotions & virtual try-on credits as paid add-ons

Tell us a bit about how founding team knows each other.
Abdullah Bukhari Shahzan (CEO) and Yameen Kanji (COO) are cousins, having grown up together with a shared entrepreneurial spirit and deep understanding of each other's work ethic. Yameen and Mohammed Jawaad Shariff (CTO) were schoolmates and their friendship naturally evolved into a strong working relationship through shared problem-solving and tech curiosity.
Why did you decide to start this company?
We started Thristo because we saw a massive gap between how people want to shop and what existing marketplaces actually offer. That's why we started Thristo!
