In our pursuit of answers, Tea Inntech was born. In the midst of one of the largest and most established auctioneers in the world, a persistent question lingered: Is the current trading model sustainable, or is there a better way? This quest for innovation commenced just before the pandemic struck, and in the tumultuous year of 2020, Tea Inntech was conceived. The platform officially set sail in 2021, initially focusing on private sales.
The journey was marked by interest from major players, both sharks and whales, as well as agency houses, using it as a pilot project in 2021. Along the way, numerous challenges were overcome. In the year 2022, From an initial capacity of 6,000 kgs per week, Tea Inntech soared to facilitating sales of up to 1 lakh kgs between suppliers and buyers. We swiftly emerged as pioneers in achieving fair price discovery, all while maintaining the lowest costs and the fastest turnaround times.
