Our solution, Apex, drives value for our customers by improving efficiency and flexibility which results in lower fuel cost and GHG emissions, as well as reduced unplanned outages due to equipment failure. Our management team has over 75 years of Operations and Management experience in the power generation industry, and broader energy sector and are considered Domain experts.
*Apex Operations Optimization is priced $ / MW per plant and each customer will pay an initial set up fee for Apex which covers support and initial HW / cloud cost *Apex Asset Optimization is priced per Asset (GT/HRSG/ST/BOP) and each customer will pay an initial setup fee *Apex Business Optimization is priced per Capability or per User *Sticky product *Emissions Reduction is our primary goal (NOx, CO, VOC) *Fuel will be the primary cost savings for OO, and the byproduct of fuel efficiency is lower greenhouse gas emissions *Outage Reduction will be the primary cost savings for AO *Optimized Business functionality is the primary focus of BO *The Integrated Plant solution can be adapted for green power sector and all other industries Apex is a software as a solution model which is cloud based and uses an annual subscription fee structure. No additional hardware is required, but with our Asset Level vertical, we provide a handheld device to support the mobile capability of our application for those users that need to be mobile and still connected. Tell us a bit about how founding team knows each other.
Jonathan and I were both Plant Managers at two different companies so we met there. We collaborated over the years to try to improve our efficiency at our respective power plants. Then we met again at GE Power and when David was assigned to lead the global team to build the SaaS solution, he brought Jonathan over as his operations support product manager. Together they built a global $1B SW line for GE. Once we obtain funding, Jonathan will join SDS.
Why did you decide to start this company?
I left GE in 2019 due to a global reorg. The SaaS I built did not do what I wanted it to do as it was designed to upsell HW solutions. I want to actually help my customers solve the problems they face
