Bikecart is an exclusive online offline bicycle store. We specialize in a wide range of Indian and international brands. Bikecart is one solution to all your cycling needs. Bikecart is a D2C bicycle company, dedicated to solving the unique challenges faced by people in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India. Over the past year, we have personally visited and engaged with over 100 retailers across more than 20 cities, uncovering a significant demand for high-quality, durable bicycles and reliable maintenance services. As mechanical engineering graduates proficient in AUTOCAD and CATIA, we take a hands-on approach to product design, ensuring that every bicycle we launch meets the highest standards of quality and innovation. One of our standout successes is the Carrera Roadie, a beginner-level road bike designed to fill a gap in the Indian market. Within just two months of its launch, it became a best-seller on Amazon. This success story reflects our ability to use data-driven marketing strategies and our relentless focus on customer satisfaction.


Startup Description

Over the past two years of selling online, we've noticed a significant difference: Flipkart consistently outperforms Amazon in terms of volume. We've found that most of our orders come from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where local stores are either nonexistent or offer limited selections. In these areas, people have no choice but to travel more than 20-40km to purchase one or turn to online shopping. Our ambition is to create portable cycle vans more of an experience centres that we can bring directly to these towns/villages, particularly those with populations between 30,000 and 80,000, on their market days. Each van will serve 8 to 12 different towns over the course of 7 days, including people in smaller villages nearby that come to the town on market days. This will allow us to reach a pool of up to 500000 people. Even if customers manage to get their bicycles, they often end up unused within a few months, due to the limited resources available for maintenance and servicing. But our approach will allow us to cater to such unserved customers and with our team of skilled and passionate staff, not only do we aim to give better service but also foster a vibrant cycling community in these regions and contribute to a healthier, fitter India.
