Every parent will go to any length to ensure their child’s safety — yet today, 2 out of 3 urban children in India commute daily in unsafe, unregulated autos and vans. From school to tuition to sports, the daily grind is riddled with anxiety with no reliable & safe solution.. That’s the gap MetroRide Kids (MRK) was built to solve. After running a successful office commute mobility business, we’ve developed a category-defining solution tailored exclusively for children’s mobility. MRK is India’s safest, most reliable transport platform for school-age children — trusted by parents, backed by tech, and built with care. In just 10 months, we've seen powerful early traction: 65% MoM growth since launch 96% Month-6 retention — kids love it, and parents trust it, leading to almost 0% churn. ₹2.4L ($2.8K) LTV per child NPS of +59%: growing through solid word of mouth. We’re led by seasoned tech and business professionals, and our deep GTM networks in schools give us a strategic edge. With strong B2B contracts secured, we’re on track to becoming a ₹100 crore brand in 18 months.

GTM: * Supply Lock-In We have secured supply contracts with major car fleet operators. * School/ Institutional Partnerships More and more schools/ institutions are reaching out to us for taking care of conveyance. * Avg Yearly subscription- ₹60k * Expected number of years a child retained with MRK- 4-6 years. * Customer LTV= ₹60k*4=₹2.4 lacs. A very healthy unit economics thanks to multiple use cases throughout the day to keep the vehicle occupied right from 6am to 8pm. Use cases include: Sports, Prep Instt. (IIT/NEET), School, Preschool, After school, Tuition classes and Weekend classes. Hence attaining a healthy Gross Margin of 50%.

Tell us a bit about how founding team knows each other.
Founders used to be flatmates way back in 2008 and share a strong trust and camaraderie. They bring very unique and complementary skills on the table and hence form a great founding team. The founders together bring a huge GTM advantage with the school network, mobility tech excellence and ground-level operational playbooks- a rare trifecta in this underserved huge opportunity.
Why did you decide to start this company?
When Kaaman came back from USA (after being there for 14 years), he was stunned to see the dismal condition of child transport in India when he enrolled his 13 year old daughter to a school.
