We are curating home furnishing and fashion products with traditional designs and motifs of North East India through the art of hand Block Printing. We collaborate with local artisans, and brands for ecofriendly handmade merchandise that are local to the region, stylish and sustainable.
Sustainable & eco-friendly products: We stand up for investing in quality handmade products that last more for the fair treatment of everyone surrounding us. We have opted to choose materials that are reusable and biodegradable so that they leave less of a carbon footprint in the environment.
Handmade: The unique combination of weaving our local fabrics, designs and patterns that tells the stories of the region, hand block printing, hand dyeing, and hand finishing of our products builds a valuable bond between our customers and all those who are behind making them.
Responsible Production: We have adopted the concept of responsible production, where in we launch each of our collections with limited inventory to blend with the changing trends and tastes of people, and the climatic conditions and reduce fabric waste. We believe in upcycling every possible fabric waste to make additional stylish home utility products.
Startup Description
We at Green Steps aim to create a luxury lifestyle brand for Hand Block printing. Through our dynamic sustainability and eco-friendly model, we are being able to promote handloom fabric, the richness in the culture of the Eight States of North East India through the designs and create new opportunities of livelihood for the local and rural artisans across India.
From being independent strong-headed women, we often wonder how we have been imbibed by the responsibilities that come with marriage and kids, keeping aside our ambitions, and our dreams. We even wonder, if this is the case with women like us living in a metro how women across the rural and urban lines are living their lives. How their skill and their dreams are trapped somewhere in their minds and looking for a breakthrough. Green Steps The Lifestyle Store is the story of all such women who had finally made up their minds to upgrade their local skills and make themselves self-sufficient financially.
We are the followers of conscious living. At Green Steps, we are promoting handcrafted sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle products, opening new doors of hope and flourishment for local handloom and handicrafts.
