Kutum Lifestyle Private Limited has launched a brand called “Filli & Me”. The brand is targeted towards the early years of children aged 2 to 8 years. It provides products that have been built keeping the needs of such young children in focus. Through this approach the brand provides comfort, companionship and joy to the children while reducing the anxieties and stresses associated with early childhood years, for parents. The brand has launched a line of specially designed schoolbags called the ‘HugBags’. These Hugbugs carry highly functional features, age appropriate aesthetics and ergonomics catering to the growing minds and bodies of early years children.


Startup Description

Born from the heart of parenthood, Filli&Me is making the transition from home to school a comforting and joyful experience for young children. Founded by Shikha and Vishal, parents who understand the emotions tied to a child’s first steps into the world, Filli&Me crafts school bags with a difference. Our HugBags are more than bags—they’re companions that offer comfort, security, and a sense of home for children from ages 2 to 8. Every HugBag is meticulously designed to support the growing needs of little adventurers. With ergonomically designed, lightweight harnesses, our bags fit snugly like a warm hug, reducing strain on young shoulders and allowing children to move freely and confidently. Surprise pockets, accompanying stick-on Grippies, and playful designs invite children to express their individuality, making every school day feel like an adventure. And, we bring it alive through Filli, our friendly and wise Indian ginger cat mascot, who brings joy, comfort, and creativity into each child's day, making their first journeys into the world a little more fun. Business Model

The company is primarily looking to build in the D2C space focusing initially on the online sales through the company’s website, www.filliandme.com, as a key point of brand engagement and revenue. Online sales are to be complimented by a few online marketplaces where our customer segment could be found. The plans are to eventually expand to select offline stores in key metro cities. On the supply side, the bags are designed and manufactured in India with an exclusively contracted vendor and agency.
