We are building India’s first dedicated e-commerce platform for space-saving furniture—a one-stop destination for smart, compact, and multifunctional furniture solutions designed specifically for modern, space-constrained homes. At Ekam, we’ve spent the last 6 years designing, manufacturing, and selling space-saving products like wall-mounted beds, foldable bunk beds, convertible sofas, and compact workstations. This hands-on experience has given us deep insights into customer needs and market demand. Our upcoming platform will feature a curated range of in-house manufactured products along with outsourced furniture that meets our strict quality standards, ensuring every product offers both functionality and aesthetics. Beyond direct-to-consumer sales, we also see tremendous potential in partnering with real estate developers. By offering fully-furnished, space-efficient interiors, developers can enhance the appeal of compact apartments—especially in high-density cities—helping them sell units faster and smarter. Tell us a bit about how founding team knows each other.
We’ve known each other since childhood and have shared a strong bond and a passion for building things together. In 2018, we began working on our idea to create smart space-saving furniture. That vision led us to start our company together. Our personal journey continued as well—we got married in 2022 and have been growing Ekam as a team ever since.
Why did you decide to start this company?
We started this because no platform focused on space-saving furniture. Customers struggle to find all solutions in one place—we're building a dedicated platform to bridge this buyer-seller gap.
