Cumma’s vision is to digitise and democratise access to innovation infrastructure across India — helping startups find and book under-utilised incubators, co-working spaces, and technical labs, while enabling institutions to manage and monetise their facilities through smart tools. Backed by early traction and institutional MoUs, Cumma is building the infra layer powering India's next generation of builders. Cumma is founded by Gautham Palaniswamy, a startup ecosystem builder with 7+ years of incubation experience, along with Nethya Sri Subramani, a Computer Science graduate and ed-tech founder, and Brabasuthan R, a growth and operations strategist. Together, the founding team blends deep domain expertise, strong technical capability, and operational insight.

Business Model

Cumma currently follows a flat-fee pricing model as part of our market penetration strategy, where facility providers pay a small fixed fee per successful booking (₹10–₹50) based on the type of space. This approach lowers the entry barrier for institutional and ecosystem partners, encouraging rapid adoption. As we scale and reach key milestones, we plan to introduce a hybrid model with optional commission-based bookings (up to 5% per transaction) for high-value or premium facilities. Our long-term revenue streams will include subscription tools, analytics dashboards, and premium listing features, all aimed at digitising and monetising innovation infrastructure access across India.

Tell us a bit about how founding team knows each other.

Gautham and Brabasuthan first connected when Gautham was leading the Periyar University Incubation in Salem, where Brabasuthan was one of the incubated founders. What began as a mentor-incubatee relationship soon evolved into a shared vision for building better infrastructure for startups. They later became colleagues at Sathyabama Technology Business Incubator in Chennai, where they worked closely on ecosystem programmes—strengthening their collaboration and eventually cofounding cumma together

We started Cumma to solve the disconnect between under-utilised startup infrastructure and founders struggling to access it. Our goal is to digitise and unlock innovation spaces across India.
