Startup Description
Prorata is a Fractional car ownership platform where a person can co-own their dream car for occasional and experiential use. We help the middle and upper middle class to upgrade their lifestyle by co-owing premium and luxury segment cars at a very affordable price. In India, premium and luxury car sales are less than 5% of total automobile sales. A shared ownership platform will help these cars be affordable and fully utilized. It's highly convenient as the car is parked inside the residential societies/ co-working spaces/ IT parks / or nearby localities. It is highly affordable as co-ownership is 5-20 times cheaper than renting a car. Also, it's a white plate car which is used only amongst owners. We are on a mission to change the way India owns and experiences cars.

each other.
Sanjeev and Mohit met in Kolkata and shifted to Bengaluru in the year 2017 with a vision to build a tech company. Prorata is 3rd tech company of Sanjeev and Mohit. Sakshi is from Haryana joined Prorata from personal network in the month of June 2022 as Co-Founder & CMO.

Sanjeev is a Chartered Accountant and a car enthusiast and a big believer of fractional ownership.He has a deep understanding of why and how to build a fractional car ownership platform.
