Startup Description
JD is the supply chain partner for around 25 retail distribution brands supplying eggs, breads, icecreams, paneer, frozen foods to 1200+ retailers across Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore. We have enabled these brands like Eggoz, Bakers Dozen, Go Zero, Noto icecream etc. to open new geographies or optimise spends using our shared services model. We manage back end inventory fulfilment logistics for 30+ chains like Blue Tokai, Tibbs Frankie, Subko, Cheeliza, Flurys etc. With us, they get visibility and real time temperatures, geo fencing, back up vehicles. This guarantees that their outlets receive food on time and in perfect condition. Further their costs are optimized as they pay as per usage. Last mile : For perishables, this service is extended in cases where JD existing capacity can be optimized better. It’s a profit driver vertical for us.
Why brands of perishable goods need JustDeliveries:
The F&B industry (consisting of café chains, QSRs, dark stores, super markets etc, fresh and frozen food companies) has to deal with a fragmented and unorganised supply chain. While large brands like Starbucks and KFC’s of India have well-organised logistics services, smaller businesses do not. This segment is extremely unorganised, with all kinds of vehicles, from vans to scooters, being used in the delivery of food cartons. In order to be able to save costs, hygiene is sacrificed, and jugaad logistical practices are employed.
