Tell us a bit about how founding team knows
each other.
Aditya and Shikhar are the second time founders building Anahad. They both are batchmates from IIT Bombay (India’s #1 college). Started their first company in 2019 called HelpNow- building one of India’s most reliable ambulance services. They were one of the youngest teams to get into YCombinator and raised $2.5M from reputed investors across the globe. As 2x founders, they are now executing on a business model designed to grow fast, can be easy to scale and have great unit economics.
Why did you decide to start this
company?
While working in the Healthcare space in India, we came across the fact that only 5% of medicine sales in India are by online pharmacies whereas 95% of the medicine sales in India (over $20B) are by unorganized local pharmacies.
